Zoning Commission

WOODBURY COUNTY ZONING COMMISSION

The Zoning Commission includes five citizens appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. The Commission is responsible for preparing and making recommendations to the Board of Adjustment and Board of Supervisors on issues concerning: the general plan and amendments; subdivision plats, amendments to the ordinance, rezoning, and development. Members shall be residents of the unincorporated area of the County and serve terms of five years without compensation.

• Membership: Members of the Zoning Commission must reside outside of the city limits in the unincorporated area.

Meetings

Meetings are generally held at the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located in the basement of the courthouse. However, please refer to the agenda for the specific location, as it may vary. at 620 Douglas St., Sioux City, IA 51101 Fourth Monday of each month at 5:00 PM, but only when there are agenda items scheduled for that meeting.
