AUGUST 15, 2023, THIRTY-THIRD MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 3:45 p.m. Board members present were Nelson, Taylor, Ung, Radig, and Bittinger II. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Assistant, Dennis Butler, Finance and Budget Director, Melissa Thomas, Human Resources Director, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney, and Michelle Skaff, Deputy Auditor/Clerk to the Board.
Motion by Ung second by Taylor to go into closed session per Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(c). Carried 5-0 on roll-call vote.
Motion by Radig second by Ung to go out of closed session per Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(c). Carried 5-0 on roll-call vote.
The regular meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and a Moment of Silence.

A public hearing was held at 4:35 p.m. for the sale of parcel #884705480001, 2636 S. Lyons St. The Chairperson called on anyone wishing to be heard.
Motion by Ung second by Taylor to close the public hearing. Carried 5-0.
Motion by Ung second by Radig to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign a Resolution for the sale of the real estate parcel #884705480001, 2636 S. Lyons St., to Anthony & Yvon Fitch, 2640 S. Lyons St., Sioux City, for $437.00 plus recording fees. Carried 5-0.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Woodbury County, Iowa, that the offer at public auction of:

Reports on committee meetings were heard.
Doyle Turner, Moville, addressed the Board with inquiry to rollbacks and how solar panels are taxed.
County Engineer Mark Nahra presented information regarding a bike trail.
Motion by Radig second by Taylor to receive plans for the bike trail from Mr. Nahra. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
