JANUARY 12, 2016 — SECOND MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Monday, January 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Board members present were Monson, Ung and Taylor; Clausen arrived at 2:15 PM and Smith was absent. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Dennis Butler, Finance/Operations Controller, Ed Gilliland, Human Resources Director and Patrick Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to receive the Department of Human Services budget reduced by $4,000.00. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Taylor second by Monson to receive the Civil Service budget as submitted. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Ung second by Monson to receive the Roadside Management budget increased by $5,000.00. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to receive the Secondary Roads budget as submitted. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to receive the Secondary Roads – Special CF Road Project – Non Tax budget as submitted. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to receive the Secondary Roads – Special 5 Year Bridge Project budget as submitted. Carried 3-0.
Motion by Ung second by Taylor to use $412,643.00 of Local Option Sales Tax proceeds to reduce the levy for Special 5 Year Bridge Project expenditures. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to receive the Emergency Services budget reduced by $18,223.00. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to close fund 760- Emergency Services and to move it to the General Supplemental Fund. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to reduce the General Supplemental Fund tax allocation by $18,223.00. Carried. 4-0
Motion by Clausen second by Taylor to receive the Emergency Services – Animal Control budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Clausen second by Ung to receive the Emergency Services – EMS Loan Fund – Non Tax budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Clausen to receive the Emergency Services – EMS Training – Non Tax budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Ung to reduce electrical line items in general basic fund by $57,478.00 and the general supplemental fund by $2,014.00. Carried 4-0. Copy filed.

Robert Dawdy, 2515 Canterbury, Sergeant Bluff, addressed the Board with concerns about drainage in Sergeant Bluff.
