JUNE 12, 2012 — SIXTEENTH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Board members present were Monson, Tripp, Clausen, Boykin, and Smith. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.
The Claims were approved as presented. Copy filed.
The Board of Supervisors canvassed the General Primary Election held on the 5th day of June, 2012 with the following official results:
Steve Hofmeyer, Deputy Commissioner of Elections, announced there were five (5) provisional ballots of which four (4) were accepted and added to the Tally, and thirty-eight (38) after-election absentee ballots, of which thirty-three (33) were timely postmarked and added to the Tally.

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes from documents provided that the petitioner is unable to provide to the public revenue; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors hereby directs the County Auditor to redeem this property Parcel #894730407006 owned by the petitioner from the holder of a certificate of purchase of the amount necessary to redeem under section 447.1, and hereby directs the Woodbury County Treasurer to so record the approval of this tax suspension for this parcel.

A public hearing was held at 10:15 a.m. for the sale of property parcel #245985 (1618 Nebraska St., Sioux City).
The Chairman called on anyone wishing to be heard.
Motion by Boykin second by Tripp to close the hearing. Carried 5-0.
Rafael Garcia opened with a bid of $200.00. Pablo Munoz offered a bid of $300.00. Bidding continued in $100.00 increments until Mr. Garcia offered a bid of $2,800.00 at which point Mr. Munoz dropped out.

TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR OF WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Weber Creek Drainage District of Woodbury County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, said Board, as Trustees, has determined that it is necessary to levy a special tax and/or assessment on all tracts of land, lots, railroad companies and public highways within the boundaries of the said Drainage District.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors as the governing body of the Weber Creek Drainage District, that a special tax and/or assessment in the sum of $ 500 be levied against all the tracts of land, lots, railroad companies and public highways within said Drainage District, same to be in the same ratio and upon the same classification as heretofore established, adopted and confirmed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said levy and/or assessment be and the same is hereby certified to the Woodbury County Auditor who is hereby directed to effect said levy and/or assessment against all of the said lands, etc., in the same ratio and upon the same classification as heretofore adopted, established and confirmed and enter same upon the tax list of Woodbury County for collection with the first half of the current year real estate taxes.

WHEREAS, said Board, as Trustees, has determined that it is necessary to levy a special tax and/or assessment on all tracts of land, lots, railroad companies, and public highways within the boundaries of the said Pumping District.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors as the governing body of the Wolf Creek Pumping District #2, that a special tax and/or assessment in the sum of $ 5,500 be levied against all the tracts of land, lots, railroad companies, and public highways within said Pumping District and same to be in the same ratio and upon the same classification as heretofore established, adopted and confirmed.
