DECEMBER 6, 2011 — FORTY-NINETH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Board members present were Monson, Clausen, Smith, Boykin, and Tripp. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney, and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.

The meeting was called to order.
Motion by Clausen second by Tripp to approve the minutes of the 11/29/2011 Board meeting. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
The Board approved the appointment of Kevin Bell, Asst. County Attorney, County Attorney Dept., effective 12-07-11, $50,347/year. Job vacancy posted: 9-28-11. Entry salary $50,347/year. Copy filed.
The Board approved the reclassification of James McCrystal, Deputy Sheriff, County Sheriff Dept., effective 12-16-11, $26.96/hour, 7.8%=$1.96/hour. Per CWA Deputy Sheriff Contract agreement, from Senior Deputy to Master Deputy. Copy filed.
The Board approved the Transfer of Kerby Weber, F/T Equipment Operator, Secondary Roads Dept., effective 01-01-12, $19.87/hour. Transfer from Equipment Operator/Weed Commissioner, to F/T Equipment Operator. Copy filed.
Motion by Smith second by Tripp to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution approving abatement of taxes for Dana Allner, for parcel #874506300901. Carried 5-0.

RESOLUTION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF TAXES
WHEREAS, Dana Allner is the titleholder of a mobile home assessed as a building on leased land Parcel #874506300901, located in Woodbury County, Iowa and legally described as follows:

WHEREAS, the abovestated property has taxes payable Including special assessments and the parcel is owned by Dana Allner, and
WHEREAS, these taxes are uncollectable or impractical to pursue collection through personal judgment or tax sale
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors sees that good cause exists for the abatement of these taxes and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors hereby abates the taxes owing on the above parcel according to Code of Iowa, 445.16 for the taxes owed and hereby directs the Woodbury County Treasurer to abate these aforementioned taxes from the tax records.

room of the Board of Supervisors on the first floor of the Woodbury
County Courthouse.
2. That said Board proposes to sell the said parcel of real estate at a
public auction to be held on the 20th Day of December, 2011 , immediately
following the closing of the public hearing.
3. That said Board proposes to sell the said real estate to the highest
bidder at or above a total minimum bid of $231.00 plus recording fees.
