NOVEMBER 16, 2010 — FORTY-SIXTH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Board members present were Boykin, Clausen, Monson, Smith, and Walish. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.
The Claims were approved as presented. Copy filed.
The meeting was called to order.
Motion by Monson second by Walish to approve the minutes of the November 9, 2010 Board meeting. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
The board approved the Reclassification of James Loomis, Assistant County Attorney, County Attorney Dept., $70,600/year, effective 12-01-10. Per AFSCME Asst. Attorney Contract agreement, form Step 7 to Step 8. Copy filed.
The Board approved the Reclassification of James Moravek, P/T Youth Worker, Juvenile Detention Dept., $16.62/hour, effective 12-01-10. Per AFSCME Juvenile Detention Contract agreement, from Grade 1, Step 2 to Grade 1, Step 3. Copy filed.
The Board approved the Reclassification of Adam Teel, P/T Youth Worker, Juvenile Detention Dept., $19.45/hour, effective 12.05-10. Per AFSCME Juvenile Detention Contract agreement, from Grade 1, Step 3 to Grade 1, Step 4. Copy filed.
The Board approved the Reclassification of Bobbier Cranston, Assistant County Attorney, County Attorney Dept., $62,931/year, effective 12-06-10. Per AFSCME Asst. Attorney Contract agreement, from Step 5 to Step 6. Copy filed.
Motion by Clausen second by Smith to postpone action to approve and Authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution approving suspension of taxes for Russell Kimpson, 3246 Summit Street, Sioux City, Parcel #894716303033. Carried 5-0.
Motion by Clausen second by Monson to approve a liquor license application for Heritage Express-Winnavegas, 1501 330th St, Sloan, Iowa. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
Motion by Monson second by Clausen to approve a application of a 1-year Class C liquor license (LC-commercial), with Sunday sales privileges, for LuWe’s Steakhouse, Inc., 1911 Hwy 20, Lawton, Iowa. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
Motion by Smith second by Walish to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution accepting Henderson’s Addition- a Minor Subdivision into Woodbury County. Carried 5-0.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING
HENDERSON’S ADDITION, A MINOR SUBDIVISION
TO WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, THE OWNER AND PROPRIETOR DID ON THE 1 DAY OF September, 2010, FILE WITH THE WOODBURY COUNTY ZONING COMMISSION A CERTAIN PLAT DESIGNATED AS HENDERSON'S ADDITION, A MINOR SUBDIVISION TO WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA; AND
WHEREAS, IT APPEARS THAT SAID PLAT CONFORMS WITH ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE CODE OF THE STATE OF IOWA AND ORDINANCES OF WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA, WITH REFERENCE TO THE FILING OF SAME; AND
WHEREAS, THE ZONING COMMISSION OF WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA HAS RECOMMENDED THE ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF SAID PLAT; AND
WHEREAS, THE COUNTY ENGINEER OF WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA HAS RECOMMENDED THE ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF SAID PLAT.
NOW THEREFORE, BE, AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, WOODBURY COUNTY, STATE OF IOWA, THAT THE PLAT OF HENDERSON'S ADDITION, A MINOR SUBDIVISION TO WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA BE, AND THE SAME IS HEREBY ACCEPTED AND APPROVED, AND THE CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, WOODBURY COUNTY, STATE OF IOWA, ARE HEREBY DIRECTED TO FURNISH TO THE OWNER AND PROPRIETOR A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION AS REQUIRED BY LAW.

The Chairman asked if there were any individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation of items not on the agenda, or Supervisors concerns.
Nicole Pedersen of Iowakidsnet was allowed to display pictures in the courthouse atrium for Adoption Saturday.
Motion by Monson second by Clausen to go into closed session per Iowa Code Section 21.5 (1) (a). Carried 5-0 on a roll-call vote.
Motion by Smith second by Walish to go out of closed session per Iowa Code Section 21.5 (1) (a). Carried 5-0 on a roll-call vote.
The Board adjourned the regular meeting until November 23, 2010.
