October 5, 2010 — FORTIETH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Board members present were Boykin, Clausen, Monson, Smith, and Walish. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.

The meeting was called to order.
Motion by Clausen second by Walish to approve the minutes of the September 28, 2010 Board meeting. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
Motion by Monson second by Walish to approve the minutes of the September 27, 2010 Special Board meeting. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
The Board approved the separation of James E Thomas, Maintenance Technician, Building Services Dept., effective 09-30-10 Dismissed. Copy filed.
The Board approved the reclassification of Levi L. Harry, Civilian Jailer, County Sheriff Dept., $19.38/hour, effective 10-18-10. Per CWA Civilian Officers Contract agreement, to Sr. Class with 6 years employment plus AA Degree. Copy filed.
The Board approved the reclassification of Heather K. Satterwhite, P/T Exec. Secretary/Public Bidder, Board Administration Dept., $16.34/hour, effective 10-21-10. Per Wage Plan comparability with AFSCME Court House Contract @ 09/10 FY rate, from Grade 6, Step 1 to Grade 6, Step 2.
Motion by Walish second by Smith to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign an “Authorization to Initiate Hiring Process” for Building Technician, Building Services Dept. Entry level: AFSCME Courthouse/Grade 4: $14.75 - $15.98 based on experience. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.
Motion by Clausen second by Walish to approve and receive for signatures a Resolution naming depositories for the County Treasurer Dept. Carried 5-0.

A public hearing was held at 10:15 a.m. for the sale of property parcel #228420, (1512 Harris St, Sioux City). The Chairman called on anyone wishing to be heard.
Motion by Monson second by Clausen to close the hearing. Carried 5-0.
Motion by Clausen second by Walish to approve the bid from in the amount of $102.00, plus recording fees, for real estate parcel #228420 (, Sioux City). Carried 5-0.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Woodbury County, Iowa, that the offer at public auction of:

The Chairman asked if there were any individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation of items not on the agenda, or Supervisors concerns.
Dennis Butler, budget/tax analyst, reported to the Board on the status of overtime in county budgets.
Gene Willems, 3773 180th St. Correctionville presented a Petition to Remove County Engineer Mark Nahra to the Board and asked the Board about the status of the area of the four way stop located near Moville. Petition filed.
The Board adjourned the regular meeting until October 12, 2010.
