JANUARY 22 2009SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Board members present were Boykin, Clausen, Monson, and Smith; Walish was absent. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.
Various County department budgets were received for fiscal year 2010, as follows:
Board Expense (General Basic)
Motion by Boykin second by Smith to receive the Board Expense budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Board Administration budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Civil Services budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Public Bidder budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Smith to receive the Mail Services budget as reduced by $500. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Smith to reduce the Juvenile Detention Administration budget by $65,543. Carried 4-0.
Debt Services
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Revenues budget, the Principal Payments budget, the Interest Payments budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Boykin to receive the Sanitary Landfill (Rural Basic) budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Soil Conservation (Rural Basic) budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Boykin to receive the Planning/Zoning (Rural Basic) budget reduced by $500. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Planning/Zoning Consulting (Rural Basic) budget reduced by $5,000. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Township Trustees (Rural Basic) budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Youth Guidance Services
Motion by Monson second by Clausen to receive the Youth Guidance Services budget as submitted. Carried 3-0; Boykin abstained.
Motion by Monson second by Boykin to receive the 004-Economic Development Fund budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Secondary Roads
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Roadside Management (Rural Basic) budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Revenue budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the Expenditures budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Non-Tax Funds
Motion by Boykin second by Monson to receive the 003-Riverboat Fund budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
Motion by Monson second by Boykin to receive the 231-Infrastructure/Economic Development budget as submitted. Carried 4-0.
