JULY 5, 2005 TWENTY-SIXTH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Board members present were Batcheller, Boykin, Clausen, Monson, and Walish. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Patrick F. Gill, Woodbury County Auditor/Clerk to the Board, and John Sullivan, Board Legal Counsel.

The Claims were approved as presented. Copy filed.

Meeting called to order.

Motion by Batcheller second by Monson to approve the Board minutes of June 28, 2005 as submitted. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.

Motion by Walish second by Monson to postpone, for one week, action to approve a 28E agreement between Woodbury County and the Iowa Department of Human Services for partial funding of the Sanford Gang Prevention Program. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.

Motion by Batcheller second by Walish to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the fiscal year 2006 Local Public Health Services State Appropriation. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.

The Board discussed the approval of a 28E agreement between Woodbury County and the Woodbury County Soil and Water Conservation District for funding and management of watershed inspection and maintenance program.

Motion by Clausen second by Monson to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a 28E agreement between Woodbury County and the Woodbury County Soil and Water Conservation District. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.

The Chairman asked if there were any individual or group wishing to make a presentation of items not on the agenda or Supervisors concerns.

Motion by Batcheller second by Monson to go into a Closed Session per Iowa Code 21.5(1) (c). Carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Motion by Clausen second by Batcheller to go out of a Closed Session per Iowa Code 21.5(1) (c). Carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

The Board adjourned the regular meeting until July 12, 2005.
