NOVEMBER 3, 2000 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Friday, November 3, 2000 at 9:00 A.M. Board members present were Boykin, Clausen, Walish and Welte. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board. Others present were Dave Amick, Woodbury County Sheriff, Patty Erickson-Puttmann, Social Services Coordinator and Edward Redfern, Board Consultant.

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.

The Chairman, Mr. Boykin reviewed issues that the Board has consulted with Mr. Redfern.

Board members discussed priority issues.

Mr. Gill excused himself at 10:30 a.m. and designated Ms. James to continue taking minutes of the meeting in his absence.

Mr. Boykin consulted the County Attorney to determine if this was proper. The opinion was affirmative.

Mr. Redfern asked the Board to identify three projects the Board was interested in.

The consensus was Jail/Mental Health Issues, District Health and the Courthouse.

Mr. Redfern suggested the Board plan a trip to Washington, D.C. in February to make their presentations.

The Board adjourned until November 7, 2000.
